About War on the Floor:
War on the Floor is a brand dedicated to the power of prayer!

Sometimes we have a personal need or a need for someone we love.  Sometimes it may be for someone we don’t even know or for a situation that looms on our hearts.

I think we have all had times that make us say, “I wish I could do more”, I wish I was there to help”, I wish I would have known about that”.  It can be a feeling that causes guilt, helplessness and a sense of frustration.

We also have times of praise, honor and worship.  Times when we are in awe of God. Times when we simply want to express our gratitude for, our love for and our thankfulness for the many blessings He provides daily.

God sent His son Jesus as a living sacrifice to save us from eternal suffering.  He gave us the Holy Spirit to be with us and intercede on our behalf and He gave us prayer as a way to intimately communicate with Him.

We have prayer.  We can all at any time and in any situation call out to God on behalf of ourselves and others.  Sometimes we might cry out, sometimes we might yell out and sometimes we might silently be still as we talk with God.

Why WOTF:

The Bible makes it quite clear that our true enemy is not seen as flesh and blood but is the unseen spirits of evil.  Satan and the fallen evil spirits are alive and well, though temporarily and are constantly battling for our devotion.

Unlike God, satan is not all powerful, omnipresent nor omniscient.  But he and his evil spirits are real and we are no match for them apart from God. In John 8:44 Jesus calls satan the father of lies.  In 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, Paul says that satan portrays himself as an angel of light and his servants portray themselves as servants of righteousness.  They are wolves in sheeps clothing, false teachers that appeal to the flesh of this world.  Luring us in to things that “look good” in the world but are clearly against the teachings of God.

This is why we must humble ourselves, flee the ways of the world and seek God on a daily basis.  When we pray we’re not only in open communication with God.  We are also warring against the forces of evil that surround us constantly.  As a result there are times when we truly need to get on our knees and wage war as spirits of evil fight for our time and our resources.

Ephesians 6:10-18 says it all:

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
